When your baby starts to look like they are outgrowing the insert we recommend to start removing it in stages. We hope the estimations below give some guidance, however, these should only be used as a guide as every child is different.

We would advise to remove the head hugger first, followed by the side wings and lastly the main body of the insert. If you are unsure on whether it is the right time to remove a section then we would recommend to try both ways and see what works best for your child, the sections can always be popped back in if required.

• Head Hugger: usually used 0-3months, however it can be taken out sooner and is not essential.
• Side wings: in most cases we would expect this to be removed by 6 months.
• Body insert: can be used for as long as you wish.
